ARTIST BIO

I am a transformative educator, coach, multi-media artist, speaker, facilitator and writer whose life's work has focused on the role that personal and collective transformation play in shaping the future of our world.

My training in art has been eclectic.  My graduate training in Social History Art History at the University of British Columbia's Department of Fine Arts focused on the role that art and artists played in times of crisis and transition in the modern world.  Later I taught art history at university focusing on Modern Art, Canadian Art, First Nations art and the History of Women Artists.  Since leaving academia I have grown my skills as a member of artists' circles, and with various artists and programs, including the Dundas Valley School of Art.

Now, drawing upon my later training as a psychotherapist, transformative leadership coach and educator, I teach art as a process capable of revealing the wisdom and knowing of our inner worlds so that we can better navigate our collective future.

My art has been shown at the Art Gallery of Ontario (Portraits of Resilience, online art show) Huntsville Festival of the Arts Gallery (The Mending Circle Project), The Waterford Old Town Hall Gallery (The Mending Circle Project), McMaster Innovation Park (Art in the Workplace, Exhibitions 23 & 24), the Transformative Learning Centre /OISE / University of Toronto (Portable Altars) and the Ancaster Public Library (Art in the Style of Frank Pannebaker).  I am currently a member of the Ancaster Quilters Guild.
