ABOUT THE ARTIST
M.A.: Social Art History, Department of Fine Arts, University of British Columbia
I am a transformative educator, multi-media artist, speaker, facilitator and writer whose life's work has focused on the role that personal and collective transformation play in shaping the future of our world.
My training in art really began with undergraduate and graduate work in Social Art History, and later taught art history at university focusing on Modern Art, Canadian Art, First Nations art and the History of Women Artists. Since leaving academia I have grown my skills as a member of artists' circles, and with various artists and programs, including the Dundas Valley School of Art.
Now, drawing upon my later training as a psychotherapist and transformative educator, I teach art as a process capable of revealing the wisdom and knowing of our inner worlds so that we can better navigate our collective future.
My art has been shown at McMaster Innovation Park, the Transformative Learning Centre (OISE / UT) and the Ancaster Public Library. I am currently a member of the Ancaster Quilters Guild.
